Terrain from Bad Contours - Pin Depressions

Hi all,

I have some contours that are made from a mash of different badly layered surveys, some of which were previously flat. When used with the Sandbox, the outcome contains pin depressions caused by stray points. Is there a way to automatically average these points to their surroundings or to ignore them completely? Or even to highlight them in order to manually adjust them?

In what form are these points before you import them into SketchUp?
