Tape measure tool on Sketchup Viewer

My clients are complainng there is no Tape meaeure tool on Skethchup viewer. Is there another way for them to measure?

Give them a viewer link to your model after uploading it to Trimble Connect. The online viewer has a Measurement tool.

Thank you, Dave. Very helpful to know. BUT where do I find Trimble Connect? On top that I cannot log into Sketchup for some reason. HELP PLEASE.

Look in the File menu in SketchUp. You can save your model to Trimble Connect as well as launch the Trimble Connect page.

The screenshot you show indicates you need to sign in to your Trimble account by clicking on the blue button and entering your e-mail address and password for your account.

Please come to the forum directly in your browser and edit your previous post to remove the contact information. Bots are just hovering around waiting to scavenge information like that.

In addition to saving your SketchUp models on an internal drive on your computer you ought to also save them to Trimble Connect as at least a backup. If you need to make the file available so you can work on different devices you can open them via Trimble Connect too. Each time you save a file to Trimble Connect it generates an incremental save so you can go back to an earlier version if you need to. And using Trimble Connect to share your files with clients means you don’t actually wind up giving them the SketchUp. They can look at it but they can’t modify it.

got it- thanks
