Tanuki タヌキ

Hello everyone, here’s my latest project: Tanuki タヌキ

Tanuki タヌキ is a contemplative project created with SketchUp 2025 and Lumion 2024.

Tanuki タヌキ takes us along the path of two raccoons leaving the tranquility of the forest to venture into a small Japanese village, guided by their search for food. Their stroll becomes an invitation to contemplation, in a calm and soothing atmosphere. The Tanuki (raccoon dog) is a very popular animal in Japan where, due to its close proximity to people, it holds a special place in both traditional and contemporary culture.

I am looking for my jaw from the floor.

Quite fantastic, with poesy in everyday things. Love it.

Lovely. I really would love to visit Japan in the summer - but I can’t deal with that heat.

Thank you so much! No matter the season, I want to visit

Wonderful – music evokes Joe Hisaishi (Ghibli)!

Thank you!
I had to find music in this style, it was very complicate

Thank you very much for your message

It would be interesting to see a screen shot of what the working SketchUp model is like or other apps. Judging by the end credits: SketchUp, Lumion, 3DSMax, Quixel Megascans, Sketchfab - I’m curious how all those come together. Is the setting mostly a point cloud scan?
