Take a .PNG snapshot in SketchUp for Web

Hi everybody,

There’s a new way to capture an image from SketchUp for Web: you can now take a ‘live preview’ snapshot of your model to export a .PNG image. So basically, you can preview your image before SketchUp spins up a .PNG for you.

Try it for yourself: sign in to SketchUp for Web, and then go to the file menu (folder icon) and select Export > PNG.

You can still use your viewport as a guide for aspect ratio, but now you can confirm your image composition before exporting, and also dial in a precise aspect ratio or image size. We hope this is a little more useful; let us know what you think!

Have fun,

Mark
