Sketchup Team Members

dot matrix (I pasted sheets together to copy onto mylar or vellum because that was the only way to get blueprints made). Upfront. … thanks for the memories. My course led to Design Workshop after that. Architrion was the great hope but didn’t pan out I guess.

I used Drafix on a Leading Edge Model D … an 8086 DOS computer with an amber monitor.
I was overjoyed when I got a 286 Machine with a VGA monitor … there are COLORS!

I graduated to ACAD 10, and lasted all the way to 2013, when SketchUp was easier, faster, and better, if not as powerful, and haven’t missed ACAD a bit since.

That was a portable tablet too.

But that is the adult version of etch-a-sketch…

…or maybe the Fred Flintstone version.

that makes you older than dirt!

Point of (pedantic) order assuming you are quoting from Monty Python…

It should be “when I were a lad…” to be more Yorkshire.

Well spotted - sketch from the Secret Policemans Ball

Well…to be super pedantic, it was earlier than that, I think. In fact, according to Wikipedia it pre-dates Monty Python itself.

Are we still on topic??

Agreed. We might have to end this detour.
I had documentary with Rowan Atkinsons with 3 of the Montys in a SPB
The Secret Policeman's Ball - Wikipedia - so it seems that was a rerun of the sketch.

If the SketchUp Team is from Yorkshire.

Good point. I have only heard @TheOnlyAaron speaking and he is defo not from Yorks. Or even from this side of the pond.

Based in Colorado.
