With Sketchup being available on iOS devices, don’t we think it’s about time it should be made available on Android devices as well?

The problem is not Android, it’s as you said, Android ‘devices.’ There are so many different manufacturers with varying degrees of quality, support, speed, etc…it makes it difficult to ensure SU will be first compatible, and second, efficient across that the devices. And again, speaking of hardware, one of SketchUp for iPad’s coolest/most practical features is it’s Scan to Design tool. This tool requires both camera and lidar to function properly. It also takes advantage of Apple’s Room Plan internal engine. Not to say that there aren’t some Android devices that can also do these these things but it’s a way less controlled environment and not as easy as it sounds to just ‘make an Android’ version of SU.
