SketchUp Layout or AutoCAD?

Similar story here, except for me it was PowerDraw in 1989 (renamed PowerCADD later). Snapping, geometry problem solving and dimensions were it’s foremost strengths as a drawing tool. One difference though, it’s a WYSIWYG, layered polygonal drawing world (like Adobe Illustrator), which is one of the aspects of Layout that people keep touting. I can get results out of Layout if the drawings are not demanding, but a still have to bring stuff into PowerCADD for the more demanding work, and all of my floor plans start in PC first before going to SketchUp.
