When I look at my extension licenses and the number of seats I have remaining for a particular extension, I see a “HW ID” with a 14 digit number occupying each “seat”. Is this a randomly generated identifier, or does this correspond to a physical component on my computer?
It doesn’t seem to match any serial number that I’m can find for my machine.
I don’t know about this case, but the most commonly used computer identifier is the MAC address of the network adapter.
It is most likely the MAC address. I couldn’t see any extensions under the account you use in the forum. If you do hit any problems, let me know what email address you use for extensions.

This is for Sketchucation licensing system (SCFLicense).
The HW ID is generated from the machine identificaton and a random unique token. So, it does not match directly a serial number.
