SketchUp 2025 doesn't run with Mac Osx 15.7.1 Sequoia

Hi team,
I just installed SketchUp 2025 in my new Mac, but unfortunately it doesn’t run. It doesn’t show any Windows. What have I to do to solve the problem?
Thanks in advance to everyone.
Giancarlo

I run SU 2025 on a Mac. My OSX is 15.6.1. What do you mean by windows?

Hi simoncbevans,
digianbert meant that the program doesn’t start and doesn’t even display the initial welcome window. In the Apple menu, where you can force quit, it says “SketchUp stuck,” or something similar, I don’t remember. I helped him to write the post.

Sounds like a corrupted file. He may have to download the program again. Did he buy from a reseller? Mine is extremely helpful with technical issues (and is a regular on this forum).

I’m running 15.7.1 on an M4 and no major issues with SU2025.

Hi,

I’m experiencing the exact same issue on multiple Macs, SketchUp crashes immediately on launch (versions 2024, 2025, and 2026). No BugSplat report, it just quits.

Interestingly, when I launch it from Terminal it works fine:

/Applications/SketchUp\ 2025/SketchUp.app/Contents/MacOS/SketchUp

I’ve tried clean reinstalls, removed all Library files, reset LaunchServices, checked code signatures, nothing works. The weird part is it works perfectly on a test VM with the same setup, but fails on all physical production machines.

Did anyone in this thread find a solution? Giancarlo, did you manage to fix it?

Any insights would be really appreciated!

Max

Bugsplats show the next time you open SketchUp, not when SketchUp crashes (on Mac that is, on Windows they do show when the crash happens). Does the next crash happen right away, or do you see a bugsplat window during the next attempt to open SketchUp?

Does an Apple crash dialog appear? If it does, can you show what that contains?
