You can’t? I must be doing it wrong, then. Here’s a toolbar with a single tool on it.

I just dragged the Freehand tool from the Drawing toolbar to a custom toolbar. Seems pretty easy to me.

Huh, I didn’t see that in the release notes, guess I missed it. Thanks for pointing that out.
It’s not new to SU2016 so it wouldn’t be in the release note for this version. It was there in SU2015 and maybe SU2014 but that was so long ago, I forget.
It’s actually quite noticeable when modelling on a 55inch screen 8P. Wish I could get it to do a higher AA level still, but I might loose a bit too many FPS. Get over 100FPS with my most detailed models on 8xAA
In fact as far back as SU2013
Thanks for that. It’s been so long that it seems old hat now.
Well, that’s at least one item checked off the wishlist for SU2016. ![]()
Ah, well I basically upgraded straight from SU7 to 2015 but only about 1 week before SU2016 was released! So I missed it somewhere along the line. SU2016 seems very stable and robust in comparison, very happy with it, especially the extension warehouse integration!
Maybe you should go back and read release notes for the previous few versions to see what you’ve missed. I think Dan posted a link in a thread he was replying in.
Probably a good idea, there is likely stuff that I’ve missed that I’d find useful.
I hope the Tray function gets some improvement with a maintenance update. Need a “show” option for any hidden tray when a trays tool is selected, via shortcut or whatever. And it could do with a delay timer option for hiding, it’s a pain that they immediately dissapear once the cursor is moved off the tray. Mostly need for workflow around texturing, for showing the texture tool when paint bucket is selected or a texture sampled. This is a big frustration for me personally as it used to do it with the old system, I’ve been doing it that way for 10 years!
Side note, would like it if soften/smooth remembered my last selection of soften coplaner, and the angle of smoothing, it used to at least do this for the coplaner option 8/
I think sketchup should have a plug-in or APP like KUBITY and the models can be viewed in VR using cardboard or the gear. I want to see the model AS-IS with profile lines and line extensions in VR.
Hi

We’re closing this thread for now, and kindly asking folks to contribute their ideas to this thread about the SketchUp 2017 Wishlish.
