Shortcut to find extra edges

Hi there. I have a model of a gear I’m working on and for some reason, some of the outlines of the holes I want to cut in it for the sprockets are thick, indicating extra faces or extra edges. There are six holes, and I made them all the same way, but for some reason these two holes have some extra edges that I can’t find for the life of me. Are there any efficient methods for finding these extra edges and deleting them so I can push them and delete the faces to make a hole? See the picture, TIA

The thick lines are called Profiles and don’t necessarily mean extra edges, they can simply mean the edges have failed to cut through the face.
If you select all of the geometry in the sprocket, then choose Intersect Faces with selection from the … menu, the edges should become thin and usable, assuming the edges are coplannar with the faces.
Often it is simpler to just trace one segment of an edge to make it cut.

Thanks, I’ll try that next time. I just decided to remake those sections from scratch, which wasn’t hard, but it’s nice to know that there’s a better way. HNY
