In an older free version of SketchUp (2008?) you used to be able to cast shadows in a model and select any time of the day and any day of the year. Is this still possible using the current SketchUp Free?
You titled the question about Make, then asked about Free. You can show shadows as you described in either.

as far as orientation , you would get that data off a plot plan and parcel viewer perhaps
