Section plane - is it possible to leave part of the model unaffected by a section plane?

I was creating an elevation in a room. I want to cut the room in half with section plane, but dont want to cut the interior objects in half. Is there a way of doing this? Had a quick google but nothing came up… thanks in advance!

Depending on how you have constructed your model, you can constrain the section plane by placing it inside a group.

Section planes can be put inside of groups or components and then they only affect the stuff inside that group or component. Here I have two section planes cutting through different components. Each section plane is inside the component.
