Scene folders and non-destructive bevels and roundovers

  1. Scene folders - please o please?

  2. Non-destructive bevels and roundovers (please…)

    Keeping the wheel squeaky ;/

FWIW, FredoCorner does that now.

The plugin 5D+ has a scene manager that offers folder filing.

Thanks for the intro to 5D+. Really impressive, and the developer seems committed and engaged. But it is an omnibus extension. I just want to have scenes in folders across the scene bar. Instead of having thirty or more scenes across the bar, unreadably cut off by each other, I’d like to be able to create folders: standard views, psp/render views, detail views, views of the weird piece of hardware we will be printing, etc…

My version of Fredo Corner is 2.7a, which has an undo button, but I don’t see a way to use it non-destructively.

I might be saying it wrong - what I mean is the ability to derive dimension information and make edits, post rounding, that reference the original edges. While I obviously think about order of operations while modeling, there are still situations that arise where I’m saying, “■■■■, shouldn’t have rounded all those edges yet…”

Previous comments removed. This is a feature request thread, not an ask for assistance. Sorry.

Ok. I am also generating lots of scenes for my architectural projects. the indecipherable short names of these native scene tabs are irritable, I fully agree with that.

The 5D+ scene manager’s list is vertical (not as you wish horizontally).

Vote 1 up for the scene folder feature!

This should be integrated as a Native tool. All of Fredo tools are integrated really poorly with really ugly UI. You can do a lot better by integrating these types of tools natively. Maybe Trimble should just buy the extensions from him and integrate them correctly. The last thing we need is more floating tools. Integrate and simplify!
