Save a selection

Hello
Maybe I’m asking too much?
Is there a way (an extension) to save a selection?
A bit like in Photoshop where once the areas have been selected, we can memorize it to be able to reuse it later.

If not, would creating an extension be possible?

Is there a better section for this kind of question?

Thanks

What are you selecting? How do you want to save it for later? For use later in the same model? Or for later use in other models?

If you make a component containing the selection it can be saved for use in later models.

Depending on what you are trying to select, it may be that you could tag the entities you have selected.
you will be limited to those “selections” only being able to have 1 tag.

What is your use case for wanting to save a selection?

Selection Memory | SketchUp Extension Warehouse = tt_selection_memory | PluginStore | SketchUcation

selection_manager | PluginStore | SketchUcation

it could be handy in some situations

but maybe dezmo gave me the solution

Why don’t you just make a component of that and save it in a collection for later use? That doesn’t require any extensions.

Thom did this extension that remembers the last few selection changes:

You can also use Copy (CTRL+C) and Paste (CTRL+V) for reuse in the same model.
