Is there a simpler way to roll back Sketchup from 2024 to 2023 without uninstalling and reinstalling the older version?
What do you mean?
I have 2022 2023 and 2024 installed. You just need to sign out / sign in.
SketchUp major version releases should install in their own location, not overwriting old versions.
You can keep the Sketchup 2024 installed. (Several main version can be kept installed without disturbing each other…)
Just download the lates installer of Sketchup 2023 file from Download All | SketchUp | SketchUp . Right click on a downloaded installer file and select Run as administrator.
If the SU2023 was already installed select Repair when prompted, otherwise install as usual.
This will re-associate skp files to open in SU2023 as default.
(BTW. if you uninstalled SU2023 previously in a regular way and did not deleted the c:\Users\YOUR_USER_NAME\AppData\Roaming\SketchUp\SketchUp 2023\ folder, then your previously installed extensions still should be there.)
Thanks, much appreciated. Had no idea the older version stayed intact.
New computer. Installed the latest version and started having bug splats which have improved over the last month, but the dropdown menus opening on the 2nd monitor is driving me crazy. I will revert until this issue is resolved.
