Is it possible to render in SketchUp for Schools?
There’s no facility for doing photo-realistic rendering if that’s what you are referring to. You would need a desktop version of SketchUp and an extension or stand alone rendering program to be able to do that.
I exported as stl and imported into Maya but it did not keep the materials from SketchUp.
Is there a different way to do it?
You might have better luck by using the Collada (.dae) format as the intermediary. I don’t know if Maya imports it directly but Autodesk’s old FBX converter still works and can be downloaded from their site. Sorry about the alphabet soup.
