Push/Pull tool in Sketchup 2026 is not acting correctly. It doesn't follow my lead and pulls/push other surfaces arbitrarily

Push/Pull tool is not working properly. It pushes or pull other surfaces and does not follow my lead.

It’s driving me nuts!

This is only happening with the new 2026 version.

it pushes whatever face is preselected. don’t preselect another face (even by accident)

a simple way to be sure of it, once you select pushpull tool, press esc to empty any face selection you might have.

There is a switch in Preferences to deactivate the preselection of faces with the Push/Pull tool.
