Cordialement,
Xavier guermant

That translates as:

Hello I just bought a license shop for one year, I realize it’s exactly the same as the free online version. I tried to export an old .skp file to a stl file and it doesn’t work, it seems to me that there is little point in having this version.
I tried in vain to put my question to the technical service with a photo but after filling everything in and trying to send my problem the page does not change, no validation of my question.
It was so much easier when everything was free. Now that it pays off, the problems are happening.
Can you help me.
If this does not go I will ask for a refund.
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
Regards,
Xavier guermant

There are at least two important differences that I know of between SU Free and SU Shop.

  1. Free is only licensed for personal, hobby and non-commercial use. If you are using Free for commercial purposes, you are in breach of the licence.

  2. There are a few additional tools in Shop, mainly to do with editing solids and checking whether a component is a Solid (in Sketchup terms, a solid is a ‘watertight’ container, with exactly two faces to every edge). There are also more import and export file types supported in Shop than in Free - again, related to the nature of commercial use.

Can you upload the .skp file to the forum, so we can see if there is a problem with the file?

Per John’s point about solid tools, they are accessed via the icon at the left edge of the window:

If you try to use them in the Free web version you will find that most of them won’t do anything (are disabled). To enable them you need Shop.
