I’m looking for someone experienced with the Medeek Floor extension who can help me (or fully model for me) a deck that complies with building code.
I want to model my own existing deck and want it done with the Medeek Floor plugin so I can learn the proper workflow, make future modifications myself, and keep everything parametric and editable.
What I’m looking for:
A Zoom session where you walk me through creating the deck according building code (I’m in North Carolina).
Or, if preferred, you model it for me and then explain the steps so I understand how it was built with Medeek tools.
I’m happy to pay for your time — either hourly or a fixed price for the session/model + training. Just let me know your rate and availability.
If you’re interested, please reply here or DM me with rough estimate of time/cost.
I can send pictures of the existing deck that I need modelled.
You can’t use ANY plugins - including @Medeek’s Medeek Floor plugin from any web version of SketchUp. You’ll need either a SketchUp Pro or Studio subscription - and download and use the NON web SketchUp!
Correct, the web based version of SketchUp does not have the ability to install extensions.
The Medeek extensions are compatible with all versions of SketchUp from 2017 to 2026.
Since I have maintained compatibility back to 2017, one could theoretically run the extensions within SketchUp Make 2017 as long as the project or work is not for commercial or professional purposes.
Building code - it will help with knowing where you are building.
You also may or may not need an engineering stamp on the drawings depending on how complicated it is, and / or what your code office wants regarding the drawings.
