A-Z Sketchup for builder

I am new to SketchUp Pro. I am a builder that is looking to start blueprinting and modeling my custom homes.

I have looked all over the internet to find a tutorial or paid course for myself, and I just keep finding random bits and pieces of what I am looking for.

I am hoping that someone on here will be able to point me in the right direction.

I am looking to be able to learn how to blueprint my own floor plans and layouts and then model them up into 3D. I want to be able to add in plumbing and electrical plans as well.

I have found tutorials but nothing that is built specifically just for home builders. I do not care much about landscape or anything like that, I am looking to be able to blueprint and model my homes for builds.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks,

Have you found these SketchUp Campus and SketchUp - YouTube

It’s true you need to walk before you can run, so SketchUp Campus and YouTube channel as @RLGL mentioned are the best starting points. The Medeek plugins are designed specifically for what you want to do, and they’re not the only ones either. You can watch demonstrations on his YouTube channel, but you really need to have the basics down first before really diving into extensions.

Take a look at Meedek Engineering (www.medeel.com) plugins for walls, foundations, trusses and electrical if you want to build a complete model of your homes. Take a look at Condoc tools at (https://brightmandesigns.com/) for creating the plans in Layout. Mie Brightman has some excellent tutorials on his product. I believe that Bondoc tools has a link for working with Medeek Engineering plugins. And go through all the tutorials a as https://forums.sketchup.com/u/RLGLmentions in his post.

Misspelled twice, but you can use the link in my post.

typing, talking on the phone and someone standing at my door. I need 10 more things to do.
