FYI - the issue tracker is currently inaccessible to those without a Trimble Employee account.
To be precise, if you try to access the tracker issues page: GitHub · Where software is built , while logged in with a regular GitHub account, you get redirected a Trimble sign in page (I think for employees of Trimble).
If you are logged out of GitHub, you can see the issues on there, you just can’t add any.
I think someone at Trimble need to fix some permissions.
GitHub has implemented 2 factor authentication. This may be new to you if you haven’t logged into GitHub in a while. You’ll need to set up 2FA in your GitHub account if you wish to log in.
So to comment or open new issues, you must log in. But as @dezmo says you can just view and read issues without logging in.
This is really strange. I don’t think GitHub has anything to do with Trimble. I don’t think you even need to have a Trimble account to use the SU Issue tracker on GitHub. I guess, something is really messed up with your browser or whatever, I’ve never had to use my Trimble account on GitHub…
My GitHub account is completely independent of my Trimble account. These don’t even need to know “about each other”! (To the best of my knowledge and hope. )
I notice that at the top of the 2nd screen snip it says that you are connecting to GitHubEnterprise. Apparently Trimble has an enterprise account with GitHub?
