Multiple File Conversions: is there a better way?

I have a bridge modeled in sketchup pro and some topo base files in autocad civil 3d. I want two end products: the 3D bridge in a 3D topo of surrounding landscape, and 2D images of the bridge at various angles superimposed onto real world pictures.

My rough plan of attack is to convert from sketchup to civil 3D to tag the bridge with a real world location, then convert to revit for rendering of faces and textures, then convert to Maya (an autodesk program) for possible animation. This seems really inefficient and could have possible conversion issues. Any ideas??

Also I could use some suggestions about superimposing the 2D images.

Any help is appreciated!
