Multiple active sections don't work like they used to in latest release

Did the developers intentionally disable multiple active sections in nested groups or is this an oversight? it appears that the section objects themselves don’t group with objects the way they use to, and as a result there can only be one active section for any given group.

thanks for the fast response. it appears I can reproduce this on a simple model too. do you think there’s something that breaks this in larger models?

You can only have one active section cut per group or component level. This is the same as it’s always been.

I tested on a model of only 84 MB, with 3.646.523 edges, and this is how the sections are seen through different groups.
