Moving default tray around drawing

How do i separate out individual components of the default tray such as outliner, styles, layers etc to better access and expand in my current drawing?
Im using Sketchup 2018.

Thanks in advance

Shane

Make separate trays for the panels. Why would you want to scatter the panels around?

Thanks Dave,

So I can expand and use more than one at the same time, Im doing a course on LinkedIn Learning and the guy is using an older version of Sketchup and doing this.

He just seems to left click and pull them off the stack and put them around the drawing but doesnt explain how.

Prior to SketchUp 2016 when the tray feature was introduced, the panels were basically free floating. At least to me the tray makes more sense because the panels aren’t covering the model space. You can have multiple panels open if you want. Rearrange them if needed to put them closer together if you want, too.

Just because tit’s shown in an old tutorial it isn’t necessarily a good practice.

Thank you again

Ive now opened new trays, Im loving Sketchup!
