Mirror with Scale tool and leave original copy

I can mirror this door detail using Scale and -1, but that just moves my door detail to the other side. I want to copy the detail and leave the original. (img attached)

Go Edit/ copy, then scale -1, then edit/ paste in place.

if you extend the selection to scale with a guideline, you will have a ‘mirrorplane’ as well!

Or use Extension | SketchUp Extension Warehouse
It’s one of my favourite extensions.

It will mirror or mirror-copy (ctrl) along an existing plane or detect the edge you hover over as the normal of your mirroring plane or you can drag out the plane’s normal. Very SketchUppy.
