If I set the unit of length to meters in the model information, the area measurement is still displayed in inches² in the element information. Is there a way to display the area measurements in metric?

We are still working to add options for managing unit preferences for area and volume to the Model Info panel.
In the meantime, the best way to ensure that units for length, area, and volume are all displayed in your preferred metric format, is to create new files using one of the metric templates, as illustrated here.
