Seriously, for a few seconds earlier today, I felt like ignoring my work and deadlines and porting a current 2026.2 project into 2017 to see if I would miss nearly 10 years of Layout development!
Yeah or maybe can we turn off the feature that causes Trimble to mine an entire bitcoin with my gpu every time I resize a viewport by 1 inch? You’re asking for icing when we don’t even have the batter to the cake yet.

It works like that in Version 2025, has it changed in V2026? I’ve been holding off on installing the latest as I cant break a working worflow!
I’m leaving LayOut to create an alternate of LayOut, it’s called 5D+ Paper. It let you not moving any where, just right inside SketchUp. Also, it will have what LayOut is missing:
- Sheet Set Manager
- Block
- Import Excel with images
- Gradient colors
- Smoothing
