With enough effort and the help of some extensions complex animations are possible (I won’t say easy) in SketchUp. With a lot of effort it’s even possible using only native SketchUp and layers / scenes. If it’s worth the effort for your needs is up to you.

Out of the Box

It started in another thread, but I got interested and took it further as an exercise. I’m pleasantly surprised by how Fredo’s Animator actually helped with working out the construction. It enabled me to test how the parts of an adjustable lever lift would fit together and actually function. A useful bit of fun. [Bale]
