In 3d Warehouse I looked up “hinges.” Some 1456 example hinge models were reported to exist. As I scrolled down (using “load more”) it stopped after 542. Pressing “Load More” would not reveal any others. How does one access the rest? Thank you for your help.
Are you still using SketchUp 2020 as per your forum profile? Are you searching via the web browser? Perhaps you could refine your search. What kind of hinge are you looking for?
I am using Sketchup 2025 Pro. I updated my profile, and it said it saved, but the top still reports 2020. I am looking for older, antique looking, black hinges and handles. Didn’t find any results when I searched so I thought I’d just browse the collection. Question remains, why am I not able to view all 1456 of the reported results? Thanks again.
It shows 2025. The only 2020 is from the year you joined the forum.
So you tried adding words like “black” or “antique” in the search?
I tried searching for “hinges” and went through page after page. Never hit a limit before the total number list available.
Have you got a specific hinge in mind? You could do an image search for one and see what you get. I just picked a photograph of a random black hinge from the web and did an image search in the 3D Warehouse UI in SketchUp. Didn’t see anything exactly like the photo but I got some old black hinges.
If I was really wedded to the design in the photo I selected, I’d probably make my own.
So, perhaps it a memory problem or something similar with my not seeing all the results? I tried last night with the same result incomplete result. I do have 32 gigs of memory on this laptop.
Thank you for the “image search” suggestion. I was not aware that I could do an image search in SketchUp 3D Warehouse UI so I’ll have to learn how to do that. I did find in my original search the hinge images you attached. Thanks.
I have some hinges in mind and could fabricate one myself but it is not yet critical.
Might be a memory issue at that.
As for the image search, click on the image search button at the right end of the search field and select an image. Pretty straightforward.
There is a limit on the 3D warehouse search server that will stop showing results after a while. Although I don’t see exactly the behaviour you do as I get 6,595 results for hinges and it stopped after 1000 results.
Having a bookmark or placeholder would be nice to be able to discard what has been already viewed and then move on to the others. That is probably beyond the current capabilities of the Warehouse setup.
This evening I too saw that there were 6596 results for “hinges” but didn’t follow up with how many were available to me on this computer.
I did notice that if a particular model is opened and then downloaded into the current model the Warehouse search is reset to the beginning of the list (without putting you back in the place of your search). However, if the model is downloaded using the “download” icon at the bottom of the list, your place in the search is kept intact and you can continue browsing where you left off.
