I’m an experienced sketchup user and architect @ a large architectural firm doing large buildings (100,000 sq.ft +). I would say I’ve given Layout a fair shot and pushed it to the limits of what it can do (stacking viewports to get lineweights, and using every trick I could) before taking it to revit for design development drawings.
In my opinion, Layout really is not up to snuff and I’d like to see it progress to something we can use consistently and further along in projects at our office. Using it past schematic design on large projects is not doable at the moment, but I’d like to give some input to you guys on how to deal with line weights, layers, etc.
