Many manufacturers provide 3d drawings of the items. But none of them are sketchup files. From McMaster Carr there are 3-D EDRW, 3-D IGES, 3-D PDF, 3-D SAT, 3-D Solidworks, and 3-D STEP. Is there any way to get any of these file types imported?
There are various importers available through the Extension Warehouse. At least some of those file types would be covered.
