I would like to report an issue with the Revit Importer that appeared after version 1.2026.1.2 and is still present in the latest version 1.2026.1.6.
Previous issue (1.2026.1.2)
When version 1.2026.1.2 was released, the importer had problems handling Revit phases (Existing / New Construction). The imported geometry did not respect the phase settings correctly.
Current issue (1.2026.1.6)
After updating to version 1.2026.1.6, the phase issue seems to be resolved, but I am now experiencing a much more severe problem:
- Several model elements are completely missing after import.
- Some elements are imported but appear far away from their actual location in the model.
- The resulting SketchUp model contains geometry scattered around the scene, making the imported model unusable.
- The import process completes successfully without reporting any major errors.
- The same workflow was working correctly with previous versions of the importer.
Additional information
I initially thought the issue was related to a specific Revit project, but I have now tested multiple Revit 2026 files and I am experiencing the exact same behavior on all of them. This suggests the problem is related to the importer itself rather than to a particular project file.
Project information
- Revit version: 2026
- SketchUp version: Studio - 26.2.243
- Revit Importer version: 1.2026.1.6
Comparison with previous versions
Furthermore, the exact same Revit file imported correctly in November 2025 using an earlier version of the Revit Importer. At that time, all geometry was imported correctly, including existing and new construction elements, and no misplaced objects were observed.
This leads me to believe that one or more regressions have been introduced in recent versions of the importer.
