How do I import .sldprt files into SketchUp?
Simlabs Solidworks importer.
Thanks!
must I pay 150$ a year to use this?
You should talk to the SimLab people about that. I don’t have anything to do with it.
if you need to do it just once you can use the trial version for max. 30 imports during max. 2 weeks.
Hi guys. I installed the SimLabs Solidworks Importer extension. Seems to work, but the file I want to open exists of multiple .sldprt and .sldasm files.
Does anyone know how I can select and open these files all at once?
sld = SoLiDworks
prt = PaRT
asm = ASseMbly
you can import the parts (.SLDPRT) file by file only, no import of assemblies (of mutliple parts) …there is also no real counterpart in SketchUp (needs a MCAD 3D NURBS modeler like SWX/Inventor/Alibre/Creo/NX etc.).
Furhter info here.
Ah, I didn’t know that. Thanks. I found another solution.
you could maybe share this solution sothat others with the same issue may profit from in the future… user forum.
Sorry. The other solution was that I found an other model with a different file-format (.step). Not really useful for this topic…
And unfortunately SimLab 3D Composer only works for import of solidworks 2019 with MAC OS. (2023 with windows)
Newer versions don’t work.
The best you can do is to somehow open an solidwork file in solidwork and export it ast .stl
