So my problem is actually creating the new port. I want it to be larger on the inside. So I need to redo it.
I did it in two parts, but I can’t seem to find a way to join them together properly.
You can see my steps in the photos.
I can’t do the solid tools / union because the tube isn’t solid. And if I just drag the two tubes together, you can also see that doesn’t work either.
And if I try to draw it all as one, I don’t see how to do that.
I guess I would delete the geometry of the old port and fix the enclosure so it is solid and then model the new port as a solid. Think of it as the material that needs to be removed. Before you even start on the new port you should fix the enclose so it is solid.
So I managed to find some time tonight. I now have the dc port extended the way I want it, but I don’t get how I can close up the case around it so it actually doesn’t looks like a hacked up mess.
How do I extend the enclosure out to the end of the hole so it actually looks nice? NASEnclosure-body-wip.skp (520.9 KB)
