I'm looking 4 Help - Material Editing & Guidance/Community

I was wondering if someone could assist me with my question.

I’m currently creating a very large portfolio of all current products we currently sell for work. The catalogue is about an inch thick with around 25 products on each page (modular sizes).

I’ve been busy deconstructing .dwgs from our supplier.

One thing I would like to figure out is how can I edit and remove materials from a group of components and replace it with just one material. Does anyone have a good source for a tutorials or can instruct me? Thanks.

I’ve got fredo tools but never use them. I’m still very much a novice in a lot of SketchUp but churning through the gristle.

My biggest ask of someone or a group, is if there’s any SketchUp magicians that quite like to hang out on a sketchup discord server with me? If you’re working long hours and making up for lost time like me, then maybe someone somewhere wants to geek out on sketchup like me? I’ve got all the time in the world.

Many thanks

Thomthoms Material Tools allows you to remove all materials or selected materials from multiple groups/components/selection. You can then just paint them all in one click with the material you want.

Thanks, Box.

Edit: I’ve checked out the extension I believe it’s called Material Replacer? by Thomthoms.

Great tool! The only problem I have is that I still have to select each individual material entity and click to replace it. Unless I’m using not using quite the right extension? Ideally, I would like to remove all materials first with one click and replace. A the moment I’m having to hunt each gradient of grey (there are about 7 from the imported .dwg’s).

Found it! Material Tools by ThomThom. Great!
