I need to use a few 3d warehouse asset commercially

I need to use a few 3d warehouse asset commercially, which according to their general terms of use is allowed. However I need to use sketchup itself to export the skp file to another file format to be used in another program (blender in this case). Do I need to purchase a license for this? or can I use the trial for Pro. I actually don’t need to use the sketchup itself at all, other than to just convert the skp file to another format. Thanks.

I’m not a lawyer, nor is anyone around here, but I’m pretty sure the 3d warehouse assets are available for commercial use to paid licence holders since sketchup itself is that way.

free users can’t use sketchup for commercial use.

that’s my 2 cents, someone might have another view on this… but then again, we’re not lawyers

alright, i’ll just purchase a go monthly license for 20 usd then, just to be safe

probably safer yeah.

just bill it to your client. :innocent:

Blender can natively import Collada and GLTF formats natively (which are available in 3d warehouse), so.. honestly I don’t see the point to use SketchUp just for the sake of exporting a compatible format.
