How to Take a Cross Section

UPDATED First post asked for the wrong cross sections.

In the drawing representing a Menger Sponge, I would like to take a cross section slice across the solid as shown by the diagonal lines drawn from the center of 2 adjacent sides diagonally to the center of opposite top sides then diagonally across the top giving a hexagonal section… I found the cross-section tool but haven’t figured out how to used it to make this slice.

Is it possible to take portion of the drawn object away along the dimension guideline to reveal the cross section? If so, how would I do it.

TIA

you can rotate and move a section plane after selection with the normal tools, to show two sections simultaneously, group one that’s active with the object then activate the other
