How to select or merge the edges of a CAD/DXF file

When I import these CAD/DXF files the object turns out to have a lot of edges which makes it hard to select them all at once I know there tools like weld to join edges but that requires you to select all the edges which takes time am hoping there is a better way to select the edges

I would use Eneroth Auto Weld. Select all of the edges and run the extension. It’ll weld all edges that can be welded.

i also use the “select curve” plugin to select all (or help to select all) connected edges
