How to see volume materials in section cut

Hi,

I am a beginner with a little bit of experience. I am struggling in getting my section cut views like I want in 2D.

In the attached “pic 1” you will see what my volumes look like in 3D without cuts. When I activate section cut it looks like in “pic 2”. But when I go 2D “pic 3” I can see through all my wall and see the texture of the element behind the wall. How can I do a cut, that looks like in “pic 4”? Here I have done it manually but that’s not the point.

Thank you

olivier

Do you have section fill turned on?

You can change the ‘black’ to whatever you want by controlling the style.

If you want to paint individual parts different materials you will need to use a plugin like Section Cut Face or Skalp.
