How to make more polygons?
Redraw the part. when you draw the first circle set the number of sides to something higher than the default 24.
I can recommend to take a look at the extension subd - subdivision

Good point for this extension: you can switch back to the low polygon model and make your changes and then you can subdivide the parts again.

This plugin together with vertex tools and Quad face tools, make the perfect combination for organic modeling. I modeled recently the Heydar Aliyev Center using those plug-ins.
