How to cut a hole through curved entities?

Hey there!

I’ve been trying to figure out a way to cut a hole through a curved entity. I figured out its not possible to do with with p/p because in my case it would intersect with interfering edges. So my question is: is there another way to do it? Attached to this post is how i wanted to do it originally with p/p; i would select the face and then p/p it backward to make a hole.

Thanks in advance

So far so good…
Make all geometry in the same context [explode any groups etc]
Select the parts in question.
Context-menu > Intersect with selection.
All look like the left-hand one in the image.
Erase the unwanted parts - front and back - both those left over from the penetrating form and the penetrated surfaces…
You will find the inner surface of the new ‘hole’ is backwards: select it and use the Context-menu > Reverse the faces…

Hi , I did a video on this subject
