Is there a way to create the symbol below in LayOut? Just the ‘CL’ portion none of the outer markings.
I use two little text boxes, one with the C and another with the L and move one over the other. Then I group them. It’s simple enough to do that I just make it on the fly but you could certainly add it to a scrapbook if you want.

Simple enough! How do you add things to your scrapbook?
If you want to add it to an existing scrapbook, find it in the Scapbooks panel and click on the Edit button. After the scrapbook opens, create the symbol with the grouped text boxes. Then save the changes.
Alternatively you can create your own scrapbooks with whatever content you want–a scapbook is just a LayOut file–and then use File>save as Scrapbook.
If you are creating your own scrapbooks make the paper just large enough to encompass the objects on the page so they will display as large as possible in the Scrapbook panel.
