Hi all, I’m completely green when it comes to sketchup. I’ve got sketchup free and I cant figure how to access the large tool kit. Is it unavailable on Sketchup free? I’m ok with the upgrade if that’s what is needed but if i’m just being dumb I’ll just be dumb with the upgrade too.

The large toolset is a desktop version thing. It’s not available in the web versions.
You aren’t being dumb. You are probably just following a tutorial done with the desktop version.
You can download SketchUp 2017 here and get the classic UI (and it works offline).
