I was playing around with Soap Skin & Bubble plugin and i realized that it reflects changes to its copies of groups. How does it possible? Isn’t this a component feature?
Technically Groups are ComponentInstances - just with some extra logic. However, that logic is omitted in the Ruby API. (Unfortunately). So unless extension developers make sure to make group copies unique they will affect all other instances.

You Could change the IFC type for the Group from the Entity info and that will make it unique, I was playing around with plugin and found that by chance !
