Creating organic shapes

I’m trying to model something similar to that shown in the image attached (the hedging specifically).

Could someone please advise the best way forward?

I’ve downloaded the extension and got the point of creating the skin. I select the newly auto created group and hit bubble but I receive the error message ‘You must select a group created with soap skin’. Once the error message has disappeared, the lines on the face created by the skin tool also disappear. Any ideas where I’m going wrong here please?

It seems you first need to enter the amount of geometry/squares you want your surface to have. So first click the lines, than ‘generate skin’, enter an amount like 50, hit enter twice and then select your tiled group and hit ‘generate bubble’, enter pressure, for example 200 and wait for a minute.

Thanks anyways, I was looking for this plugin for years!
