If you are exporting for rendering the quality of the image you get will depend on the settings in your rendering program. The Sketchup model is essentially a vector model. Meaning it will scale without losing resolution. When you render make sure to set your resolution to a size large enough for your end use. For print you want 300 dots per inch or pixels per inch. For example, for a 12 x 9 inch image you need a resolution of 3600 x 2700 pixels. It may take some time to render such an image. This is not unusual. If you want to export an image from Sketchup you need to go into the File menu and select “export . . . export 2D graphic.” In the “save” dialog you will see a button for “options” click it and set the resolution of the output image you want. You will need to do tests because the choice of resolution affects the line quality. It will not look like on screen, but better. Turn off the origin marker, the “Axes,” in the “view” menu if you want. Your picture will look better without it.
