I was unaware that the extension warehouse was going to cut services. Though I expect little else from Trimble. I had a disk failure that wiped out everything. My super-duper window’s tech was able to recover much of wat was lost. I have however been able to reload Sketchup 2021 and most of the extensions. I am missing TT_Lib2 . If someone would be so kind as to forward a copy to me, I would be incredibly grateful.
You can log onto the EW using a web browser and download extension files. Then install them using the extension manager.
also, it didn’t.
simply put, it’s just a website and in sketchup there is a browser that accesses the website. and websites are built on technologies that keep evolving. and because of that, older browsers slowly becomes obsolete.
your sketchup 21 comes with a version of chromium that was current in late 2020 / early 2021. we’re now in 2024 and it’s not supported anymore, by pretty most websites.
as a comparaison, netflix is compatible with browsers up to 2 years old. netflix wouldn’t run in sketchup’s browser.
Sketchup keeps their platform compatible with the last 3 versions. meaning that until early 2025, it’ll be compatible with a chromium version from late 2021 / 2022. more compatibility that many websites.
your personal browser on the other hand is (I hope) updated and current. therefore the solution Slbaumbartner gives is perfectly fine.
yes, being an educator often means telling people the obvious things they missed. like this message above mine :
(EW is short for extension warehouse)
also,
well, no, ANY USER, free or pro or whatever can access the 3d warehouse or the extension warehouse in their own browser. hence Slbaumgartner’s solution above.
you want a direct link to TT_Lib2 ?
it’s on the front page of the extension warehouse, have you tried there ?
https://extensions.sketchup.com/
you could also google it, and you’ll find many other places it’s uploaded, many of them not related to evil trimble.
I wonder where you read that in @ateliernab 's post? I am a SketchUp Make 2017 user and have always (up to this day) been able to use the extension warehouse as @ateliernab told you…
You came here for help and got help within the hour. What more do you want from us?
Don’t forget we are all volunteers spending their free time to help others like you here!
So get off your high horse and stop ranting to the wrong people…
Dude…what the heck. You always berate people that are trying to help you?
You can’t come in here guns a blazing and totally uninformed and expect to be treated nicely, but everyone here has treated you with respect explaining what to do and why the situation is the way it is.
Had you just done a few minutes of research you likely would have found it on your own…
