Hi all, I am student of architecture. I have floating modular project so I should model the this site. My site is the deeper are which is looks dark. I download 3d site model from other online sites and I revised. However I should model the underwater part. the deeps will be 2.5m - 5m - 10m - 7m - 10m (from land to ocean). I tried topograhy but very hard control and next weeks ı want 3d print and render of model so ıt was tricky for me. please help guys..
What exactly do you mean by ‘topography’?
And what kind of control is difficult?

my projects poster here. you can see the section and how it looks like underwater land.
Difficult part is control. I can not exactly control the height of the land. the jpeg show what I tried with smoove.
Set those depth planes and use them to move the geometry to the level you want.
If you have Artisan 2, it would be easier. Even with Vertex Tools you could work.
Another method would be to use the image you have, generate a height map and create the terrain with it, in SketchUp using the Scale by Tools extension, or in Blender with two modifiers - Subdiv and Displace.
- in Materialize - generate Height map
- in Blender - creating the terrain
thank you very much buddy. But I will make a phisical model this site and I guess these solutions are hard for me. The underwater land can be more sharp. I dont know how can I continou but may be this image can create some idea/solution for me. Can I contact with you?
Then this method should be much easier for you. Draw the contour lines, move them to the depth you want and with Sandbox > From Contours
to create the terrain.
