I want to use an Oculus Quest 2 to see 3d models of some designs. These designs are done through Solid Edge and I want to import them onto Sketchup. I essentially have two questions, the first is it possible to import or upload the Solid Edge designs onto Sketchup? If so how? These files are .asm, .sat, .iges, .igs, .step, .stp, .pdf extension.
What version of SketchUp are you actually using. Your profile says 2022 Make (desktop) which doesn’t exist.
There are importers for at least some of those formats which are available from the Extension Warehouse.
I don’t have a version yet. When creating an account it asked which version I was using so I just went with desktop.
There is no 2022 Make version.
As I indicated, there are some importers available in the Extension Warehouse. They will work in SketchUp 2022 Pro. For example this one will import .stp files. This will import .iges files. There are others.
I don’t have Sketchup just yet. I first I wanted to know if I could import Solid Edge files so I wanted to ask this question on this platform. But to ask this question I had to create an account and it asked me what version I had. Now that I know I can use importers it will do. Thanks for the help.
